Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are actually open and may close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the following criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house which has a combined gross home income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family revenue isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not post any proof of earnings.

*** Loan nsfas 2025 Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to deliver the proper Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last nsfas application day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now more info and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
